FL-28. This rare SA Battalion Flag (SA-Sturmbann) came inside a German parachute rig storage can along with a bunch of other items. It was bought by me from the son of the vet who brought the grouping home. This flag has the roman numeral III/4 embroidered in it. According to author Wilhelm Saris there are 4 possible locations this SA Battalion flag is from. a) Berlin-Pankow (Berlin-Brandenburg) b Rockenhausen, Pfalz (Kurpfalz) c) Rastenburg (Ostland) d) Mellrichstadt, Unterfranken (Franken). A spectacular Luftwaffe Flight Regiment Schellenbaum flag. This particular banner was for 3rd Luftflotten Kommando - Reichgraf, which headquarters in Munich. The front is yellow silk with the embroidered luftwaffe eagle surrounded by a wreath in bullion. There a black and white silk embroidered rays coming out from the center with black silk embroidered swastikas in each corner. This is the same design as the 4 X4 standards. It is mounted on a silver bar then hung from the eagles beak on the top of the jingling jonnie. The back of the flag has Lfl. kdo. 3 embroidered in silver bullion on the yellow silk background. Up for sale is this original DEUTSCHLAND ERWACHE standard banner. Known by collectors as the DE Standard these are one of the most sought after flags of the Third Reich. This is 1 of the best US painted Japanese souvenir flags I've ever seen. Its really well painted with the 139th A.A.C.S.(ARMY AIRWAYS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM) Atsugi air base and what I assume is the artists 1st name Scotty. It also has the islands In the pacific campaign as well as the ships in Tokyo harbor and mount Fuji. Its really well done and I doubt you will ever see another one like it. This is a nice 27 2/16th inch wing span WWII German train eagle. It was carefully taken off of the train with out cutting or breaking its screw posted. A Set Of SS Trumpet Banners And SS Drum Skirt. I recently bought this collection SS trumpet banners and ss drum skirt which were brought back by a US general! They have a very interesting story which I will share with the new owner. They have the pre 1937 pattern eagle done in bullion and highlighted in black chain stitching. One the other side of the trumpet banners has bullion runes highlighted by block chain stitching. They are a salty but how often do you see them in any condition. SOLD!
FL-16 A rare standard with a static swastika. The rings are red felt lined and there is a hand written tag sewn on the corner with the town name Windesheim written on it. The flag is 4'9"X 3'9" and is of multi piece construction with separate black swastika sewn to the white circle. This is a fantastic flag! This Allgemeine-SS trumpet banner for SS-OA Rhein is absolutely stunning. It is black velvet with a heavily bullion embroidered skull and crossbones with SS - OA Rhein (for SS-Oberabschnitt Rhein) embroidered below that. The opposite side is large silver embroidered SS ruins bordered by silver bullion tape. An interesting note is the clips are exactly the same clips used for the tassels of the DEUTSCHLAND ERWACHE Standarte. A nice WWII German trolley eagle. These eagles almost never come up for sale and I just got in 2 of them. This eagle has about a 16" wing span. It has the original red paint around the swastika. There is some damage to the breast of the eagle with is possibly damage from a bombing. The back has the original threaded posts and has the metal composition stamps on the bottom of the wing. Here is an opportunity to own a rare NSKK motor sturm standard pennant. This one is for motor stum 4/M52. An interesting thing about these flags is the silver breaded tress on the outer boarder of the flag is the same as the silver braded tress that is around the white roundel of the DEUTSCHLAND ERWACHE banner. The colors are bright with some mothing in the white circles and the bullion in one of the 4/M52 patches has oxidized away from the M52. Other then the condition issued this is a beautiful rare flag! A salty DRKB flag "Deutscher Reichs-Krieger-Bund" (German National-veterans’-association). This veterans 4X4 standard is salty with lots of little holes but the colors are bright and sharp and the flag is still solid. It is double sided, printed on coarse cotton. This NS-RKB flag has a red background to a black Iron Cross, edged in white. The center has a double black bordered white disk within which is a black mobile swastika. The original black band that wraps around the pole is still intact and is uncut. It displays really well and is priced to sell! FL-27. A nice 150 X 250 WWII German Kriegsmarine flag. This flag is nicely marked with the Eagle M navy acceptance stamp. Then Reichkriegsflg. 150 x 250. It is also maker marked Berliner Fahnenfabrik Geitel & Co. Berlin. This KM flag has some staining and one small pin hole which I point out with a red arrow. The colors though are bright and crisp. A WWII German DEUTSCHLAND ERWACHE flag pole top or final. This DE flag pole top just came out of the woodwork in Alaska. These were personally designed by Hitler and only a little over 800 were made by the Otto Gahr company. The Deutschland Erwache pole tops have a large eagle on top of a large wreath with the swastika in the middle of the wreath. On the base of the wreath where the pole mounts is says Otto Gahr on one side and 1923 on the other side. A very recognizable piece of 3rd Reich history. A very rare metal Deutsche Reichsbahn train plaque. These were mounted above a railroad eagle on the side of WWII German trains. This railroad sign is so rare that I've never seen one till I bought this one. Its a ally plait which is painted black with raised brushed metal lettering which says "Deutsche Reichsbahn". It is 23 9/16th" long and 3 15/16th " high. You can see something written on the back left bottom and it has the R-790 painted on the back. This might be the engine number? FL-31. This salty DAF flag (DAF Einheit Flaggen) is from Düren- Welt 1? Since Düren was completely destroyed at the end of the war its a miracle this flag even survived in any condition. This DAF Orts flag was part of a group a 183rd Field Artillery officer brought home from the war. I will provide the vets name to the buyer of this flag. I am very happy to be able to offer this spectacular Luftwaffe Flak Regiment Schellenbaum flag again. I sold this Schellenbaum many yours ago and just recently got it back. The Schellenbaum which means bell tree was a type of standard which hung on the ancient bell instrument carried in front of a marching band during parades. These flags are extremely rare and real ones seldom come up for sale. This one the front bares a high relief bullion luftwaffe eagle on red and white silk. The back has the name flack Regiment 14 1st Abt. in roman numerals. The 64 and two of the roman numeral II have been removed to change it from 64th flak Reg III Abt. to Flak Reg. 14 I Abt. This was frequently done during the period rather then having new ones made. This banner is suspended by bullion braded cords on a bar with silver ends which have darkened to a beautiful blue-gray patina. A rare offering! A very nice WWII German 27" LOK railroad eagle (Deutsche Reichsbahn Adler). These Nazi eagles were on the side of train cars, trolleys, boats, and buses. They are probably the most recognizable symbols of the 3rd Reich. This Adler still has all of its threaded posts on the back which are uncut along with 2 of its original nuts. It measures 27 inch wing span and 13 3/4 inches form the top of the head to the bottom of the wreath surrounding the swastika. There is a threaded hole in the center of the swastika in the front which goes through the bottom post. I think its original and might have held a locking screw. Its eagle is marked back LOK with an RZ4 under that and BLN under that, which I assume is for Berlin. On the wing it has the foundry mark HE along with the metal content of the RR Eagle GAL Mg Si. A beautiful imperial Japanese navy retired service association standard. The construction of this rising sun flag is amazing! It is made of the best quality heavy silk. The manufacturer even took in to account conservation by sewing in a checkerboard stitch over the whole flag to ensure it would stand the test of time. This is something that flag conservation people do to maintain the integrity of the flag. The silk flag and fringe is heavy and bright in color. A very rare 1st SS Leibstandarte regiment trumpet banner. This is a salty but original I./SS 1. trumpet banner. The banners body is black with an eagle on one side with I. /SS 1. on the other side in flat bullion brocade. The silver coil fringe around the banner is in great shape. A salty 150 X 250 WWII German navy flag. This is a salty but nice Kreigsmarine flag. Even though there are several small holes in this flag but the colors are bright and sharp. The flag is marked KR.FL. 150 X 250 and has the Eagle over M stamp which makes it a naval flag. he makers stamp is very difficult to make out but could probably be read by messing with a photograph in Photoshop. This salty NSDAP banner has an interesting story. I bought it from a guy who snagged it while fishing and fished it our of the Mississippi river. It was in a bag with a couple of heavy rocks. It is a multi piece banner with a separate white circle and separate black swastika stitched to the red background. I'm not sure how long it was in the river but it survived! I've had this Reichskriegs flag for a few years. It is a 100 X 170 WWII German Reichs Kriegs flag. It is a great displayable size about 3.2 feet X 5.5 feet. There is some bleeding of the black from improper storage but other then that is very nice. The flags colors are bright and crisp. The interesting thing about this flag is that is has a different hanging system from the standard rope style. I believe this is an early flag. I am very proud to be able to offer this spectacular Luftwaffe Flak Regiment Schellenbaum flag. The schellenbaum (bell tree) flag was a type of standard which hung on the ancient bell instrument carried in front of a marching during parades. These flags are extremely rare and real ones seldom come up for sale. This one the front bares a high relief bullion luft. eagle on red and white silk. The back has the name flack Regiment 14 3rd Abt. in roman numerals. The first 2 II have been removed for some reason possibly to change it to 1st Abt. because it looks like it was removed during the period.
