WWII German Deutsche Reichsbahn Train Plaque
A very rare metal Deutsche Reichsbahn train plaque. These were mounted above a railroad eagle on the side of WWII German trains. This railroad sign is so rare that I've never seen one till I bought this one. Its a ally plait which is painted black with raised brushed metal lettering which says "Deutsche Reichsbahn". It is 23 9/16th" long and 3 15/16th " high. You can see something written on the back left bottom and it has the R-790 painted on the back. You can see period photos of these in the book titled" Third Reich Reichsbahn Eagles". This might be the engine number? This would be really nice to display above your German train eagle!
