A Excellent Japanese Meiji Period Ivory Okimono Of A Skull Resting On A Bone
This is a very nicely executed 19th century Japanese ivory Okimono. The subject is a skull resting on a single bone and like most high quality Japanese Okimono it is very life like. The [piece is about 6 inches wide and 4 inches high. It is signed by the carver (Tamamine) on the back of the skull. This is a fabulous ivory carving which would fit in almost any collection.
